The Brinovec homestead has maintained and passed down the tradition of charcoal burning for over 100 years, registered in the inventory of living cultural heritage, which they supplement with carpentry, a tourist offer, and the sale of various types of charcoal.
The Medved charcoal homestead preserves and passes on the tradition of natural wood charcoal burning, being the largest producer in Slovenia, known for setting up a mighty giant charcoal pile (kopa velikanka), while also offering guests homemade delicacies of their own making.

The Odlazek charcoal homestead has maintained the tradition of charcoal burning for several generations and offers visitors an authentic experience of this tradition, including a viewing of the charcoal pile (kopa) being set up and burned, as well as a presentation of the life of charcoal burners in the past and today.
The Ajdišek charcoal homestead, which has been involved in charcoal burning for 30 years in the idyllic village of Selce, with its charcoal pit (kopišče) near the thematic trail, allows visitors to purchase charcoal while simultaneously offering a diverse insight into the activities of forestry, livestock farming, and agricultural production.
The Lavrič charcoal homestead maintains the tradition of charcoal burning with the annual construction of a charcoal pile (kopa) and the sale of charcoal, but otherwise primarily engages in road transport, sawmilling, and wood processing, while their charcoal pit (kopišče) also serves as a popular venue for cultural events.
The Dole pri Litiji Ski and Recreation Center is located at an altitude of 625 m – 675 m and covers an area of 4 hectares, featuring 2 ski slopes with a length of 1 km, which are fully illuminated for night skiing. Since 2009, the Dole pri Litiji ski resort has had a modern artificial snowmaking system built. The ski resort is intended for those who are just learning skiing skills as well as better recreational skiers. Ski recreation, organization of sports days, recreational competitions (school, union, etc.), possibility of training for recreational skiers with time measurement, possibility of renting the ski slope for organizing training sessions or competitions, organization of ski school and ski courses, a toboggan run (length 100 m), a cross-country skiing trail (length 2 km).

The Charcoal Trail (Oglarska pot) is an approximately 14 km long, marked circular thematic route that leads past charcoal homesteads and natural/ and cultural sights. It is suitable for hikers of all ages and does not require special physical fitness, as it runs over varied terrain. The starting point is in the local center of Dol pri Litiji, and the trail leads past the villages of Suhadole and Slavina to the picturesque Bena Waterfall. It continues to the Church of St. Catherine and the Krjan Tourist Farm in Dobovica, and then along a panoramic route past the Zavrh Mansion and the hunting lodge back to the local center.
A three-member family took over a farm in Selce in 2023. Various types of animals reside there in harmony, from domestic to exotic, both large and small. Love for animals and care for them are the main guiding principles of their work. In the summer of 2024, they began engaging in this activity as registered pet breeders. They ensure carefully bred, healthy, and friendly animals. They offer a wonderful opportunity for a family trip with a guided tour of their animals.
Toni Povše is a renowned Slovenian keyboardist and collector with more than 30 rare keyboards, who presents the history of keyboards in his museum – his birthplace’s former inn – to visitors with live music and sparkling wine, and with which he also impressed the British royal family.
The Church of the Assumption of Mary (Cerkev Marije Vnebovzete), built on the site of a summer snowfall in 512, impresses with its rich history, Baroque art, stained glass, organ, and works by famous artists, making it an important cultural and spiritual landmark.
